Firefighters responded to the fire in a four-unit townhouse about 6:49 a.m., according to dispatchers and Fire Chief Paul Lolli.
“It was rolling when we got there,” Lolli said.
Resident Anthony Foster was getting his children ready for school when he saw smoke.
“A typical morning and noticed smoke coming out of all my electrical outlets and light fixtures,” Foster said.
He got his children dressed and out of the house then knocked on a neighbor’s door. Everyone escaped without injury, he said, and the fire shot through the roof.
“We are waiting to see what we can salvage,” he said. “And basically bunking up with family for a while.”
There were no injuries, but at least four people will be displaced, according to Lolli.
